New Years

Heyy! I know I haven't been updating the blog a lot. Honestly for a while now, i just wasn't feeling inspired. I haven't even been reading blogs that much. Every time i sat down to do it, for some reason i just felt overwhelmed. Well, this morning was different. I woke up feeling so inspired to do everything! Do you ever get like that? Where it all hits you at one time and you don't know what to do first?! lol Point is I think I got my mojo back babbyy! : )

Maybe it's because this weekend was basically spent in the house the entire time, I had a lot of time to relax and think. I even wrote some goals i want to accomplish this year. Want to hear them? Ok good cause I'm going to tell you.. lol

*Socialize more. I live near a big city (hello New York!) and I always read about blogger or small business events/parties going on and I never go because I don't want to go alone. (I'm really shy around new people) But this year I am determined to step outside of my comfort zone, have some fun, and meet new people.

*Explore. Go somewhere/ do something new once a week. I have a whole list of things I want to do. Time to start crossing those off.

*Cook dinner. If you know me or have been reading my blog for a while, you know I do not like to cook. But this year I am going to start to help Josh out and cook dinner at least 2-3 times a week. My cousin bought us (me) a slow cooker for our house warming, so that should help a lot!

*Work out and eat better. So cliche for a new years resolution. But hey it's the truth. I need to take better care of this body.

*Support local businesses. Hoboken is completely different now than when I was growing up. There used to be nothing but factory buildings and family's. Now they're are so many restaurants, cafes, boutiques. I want to support my town. Also find awesome places in Jersey City (where I currently live)

Well, that's it... Have you made any resolutions/goals for the new year?

  1. Hi Melody, I felt the exact same way when I stopped blogging last year...then I felt newly invigorated six months later with new inspirations, outfits, and motivation! Sometimes a break is all you need because blogging needs to be fun, not a burden. Also love your resolutions for the New Year--definitely have some of the same ones on my list!

I really enjoy your blog so far and would love to follow each other--please join my GFC and I'll follow you right back!

  2. These are such great resolutions! I'm really shy around new people too so I don't go to blogger events as much as I want to. And I'm glad you got your mojo back :)

  3. I am really shy too so I totally relate! I'd love to plan another blogger meetup this year (maybe for the Spring since it's too darn cold now, haha) :)

  5. Man I'm going through exactly the same thing right now. Not fun. I don't want to stop blogging but I just don't feel like it. I know what you mean. It's hard to keep motivated!
