Birthday weekend

Oh hey there everyone! It's been a long time since I've updated the blog, but I've been super busy and without internet at the new house. 

Saturday was my birthday so I celebrated with a quick brunch with Josh, before he left for work. Then a night out with my girlfriends. If you follow me on instagram you can probably tell I had a blast!

My friends came to my house before heading out so I wanted to decorate the house, I tried to make this backdrop, but of course I left it for the last minute and was in a rush so it didn't quite comes out exactly like it. But it did look a lot better in person-- not so space-y lol My sister and I also made these strawberry filled jello shots. (scooping out those little strawberries are a lot harder than it looks lol)

I had a great weekend, thanks to my sister for helping me with everything and to my girls who came out!!

How are you guys?! I feel so out of the loop! lol

Birthday Suit

So a few weeks ago I shared some instagram pictures from my birthday weekend, and I thought my dress deserves a post of it's own. I found this at my local Salvation Army, I immediately new it was vintage, and it was love at first sight. It has lots of tulle under the skirt so it's poofy, has a sequin top, flowers all over it, and was only $10! What's not to love?!

I have been going crazy cutting up shorts..

Yesterday was Josh's birthday so I took him out for dinner in New York, afterward we ended up walking all around the Meat Packing district and West Chelsea. My feet could not handle walking in 6in heels any longer so we stopped into a CVS and bought flats. SO not like me, but hey it happens! lol

Today is my 25th birthday!! My sister is having my nephews first birthday party today (his birthday was yesterday & we always have huge 1st birthday parties) so I'm going to act like it's my party too! LOL Let the celebration begin!! 

It will probably stay quite around here the rest of the weekend, because Josh and I are going to Baltimore for a few days. You can follow along on twitter or instagram! (MelodyR_12) Talk to you later!
