New Years

Heyy! I know I haven't been updating the blog a lot. Honestly for a while now, i just wasn't feeling inspired. I haven't even been reading blogs that much. Every time i sat down to do it, for some reason i just felt overwhelmed. Well, this morning was different. I woke up feeling so inspired to do everything! Do you ever get like that? Where it all hits you at one time and you don't know what to do first?! lol Point is I think I got my mojo back babbyy! : )

Maybe it's because this weekend was basically spent in the house the entire time, I had a lot of time to relax and think. I even wrote some goals i want to accomplish this year. Want to hear them? Ok good cause I'm going to tell you.. lol

*Socialize more. I live near a big city (hello New York!) and I always read about blogger or small business events/parties going on and I never go because I don't want to go alone. (I'm really shy around new people) But this year I am determined to step outside of my comfort zone, have some fun, and meet new people.

*Explore. Go somewhere/ do something new once a week. I have a whole list of things I want to do. Time to start crossing those off.

*Cook dinner. If you know me or have been reading my blog for a while, you know I do not like to cook. But this year I am going to start to help Josh out and cook dinner at least 2-3 times a week. My cousin bought us (me) a slow cooker for our house warming, so that should help a lot!

*Work out and eat better. So cliche for a new years resolution. But hey it's the truth. I need to take better care of this body.

*Support local businesses. Hoboken is completely different now than when I was growing up. There used to be nothing but factory buildings and family's. Now they're are so many restaurants, cafes, boutiques. I want to support my town. Also find awesome places in Jersey City (where I currently live)

Well, that's it... Have you made any resolutions/goals for the new year?

New in Store + Giving back

Hey guys! There's been a shop update with some new sweaters, blazers, and shirts. Check it out HERE.
I also want to let everyone know that for the month of October, all proceeds from All For You.. will be donated to American Cancer Society for Making Strides against Breast Cancer.

Today marks the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness month and I want to do everything I can to help other women beat this disease. My grandmother and aunt are both Breast Cancer survivors so this is very important for myself and my family. I've started up a team and am walking on October 20th in Central Park. (If anyone is in the area come walk with me!) If you would like, you can join my team and/or make a donation HERE

You can find an event in your area HERE.

Thanks for your support! : )

Around the house.

A few detail shots of different rooms in our house. Everything is coming along well, and the house is almost all done! Well not all done there's still a few more little things we want to do, but for the most part everything is done.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!
P.S. I just updated my shop with some new goodies! : )

H81 top via Crossroads (similar)/ F21 pants/ H&M flats (similar)/ Aldo purse

I love living so close to New York. The view from across the river never gets old. Plus being so close means I can just jump on the train and find something new and exciting. The past weekend I took my nieces to the Brooklyn Flea for the first time. I've been taking them thrift shopping and flea market strollin' this summer and it's been so much fun. I'm thinking of taking them to some museums this weekend.

I was just telling Josh, I've traveled to lots of places and always love going to museums, but I've never been to one in New York. Insane. On my list of must see: MoMA, Museum of Natural History, the Madame Tussauds, and the Museum of Sex (nieces will not be going to this one! lol)

Sneak peak

One room down, five more to go! Here a little peak into how our house is coming along. Josh had the idea to paint the pattern on the ceiling. I'm proud to say my boo is really good at interior decorating! lol

Venting sesh

Can I vent for a sec guys?! I am feeling stressed out! This new home, work, school, trying to keep up with the store and blog is a lot of work. I feel like I don't have enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do. I've basically abandoned the blog and my store. Although I am working on something new with my store.. it's really exciting!! (I'll get to that in another post)

It's been about 3 weeks since we've moved into the new house and we are still living out of boxes. We have living room chairs and a dinning table still packed away, because we have to paint. No sofa so we're sitting on lawn chairs. Our TV broke so we need to add that to the growing list of "stuff we need"
It's starting to drive me crazy. I may be a little impatient, but I want everything to be done right now.

The to-do List for this weekend includes:
Pick up the new dresser and end table (which I thrifted for only $60 for both! And it was exactly what I wanted!)
Pick up barbecue grill-- we need to enjoy our backyard before the summer ends!
Paint the living room, dining room, and bedroom. (I'm hoping to get them all done.. wishful thinking)
Set up the guest bedroom ( I'm still waiting for our new bed for the master)
Set up my office
Shop for my store

Not sure if I'll get to everything, especially because Josh has to work all weekend. Thank god for my super helpful father, who I'll be dragging along to help me. lol

I've spoken to people who said they didn't get everything done in their house for months, so I know this whole thing is a process and I should enjoy it. Honestly I really am so grateful to even have a home, but some days (like today) thinking of everything that needs to be done drives me a little crazy.

OK. END RANT.
THANKS FOR LISTENING. : )

Hopefully I'll be back with an outfit post soon. I promise I still dress really cute (at least in my opinion lol)
You can keep up with me on Instagram & Twitter

Birthday weekend

Oh hey there everyone! It's been a long time since I've updated the blog, but I've been super busy and without internet at the new house.

Saturday was my birthday so I celebrated with a quick brunch with Josh, before he left for work. Then a night out with my girlfriends. If you follow me on instagram you can probably tell I had a blast!

My friends came to my house before heading out so I wanted to decorate the house, I tried to make this backdrop, but of course I left it for the last minute and was in a rush so it didn't quite comes out exactly like it. But it did look a lot better in person-- not so space-y lol My sister and I also made these strawberry filled jello shots. (scooping out those little strawberries are a lot harder than it looks lol)

I had a great weekend, thanks to my sister for helping me with everything and to my girls who came out!!

How are you guys?! I feel so out of the loop! lol

Bedroom Inspiration

So it's official Josh and I have a home! We're moving in next week, so I've been daydreaming and planning out how to decorate. Josh is really good with interior decorating so he's already set on how he wants to living dinning rooms. So I've been thinking of what I want our bedroom to look like.

I love crisp white walls with splashes of color in the linens and rugs. I also love Bohemian styles so that's what I'm drawn to for our bedroom. I've been collecting photos on Pinterest for inspiration so I decided to share them.

What does your home look like? Do you like bright and colorful rooms or are you into more neutral tones?

Weekend Fun

Josh + his brother

The first three pictures are from a few weeks ago when Josh and I bought his little brother to Coney Island. I'm so happy everything is up and running since Hurricane Sandy hit. I've been going to Coney Island since I was born. It's great that we can still continue to enjoy it!

The rest of the pictures are from the Big Apple BBQ. It's become a tradition for Josh and I to go to this block party in the city every year. There's a bunch of BBQ Masters from all over the country that come. The food is amazing and it's always a lot of fun. I love doing fun things like this once the warmer weather comes around!

Guess what?!!

All For You top/ Vigoss cut offs/ Charlotte Russe booties

I had a pink blazer over this outfit, but it was way to hot & humid outside to put it back on. I love spring and summer but I hate the humidity. I couldn't wait to put my hair up, this summer you can expect to see a whole lot of braids.

Enough complaining, I have ahhh-mazing news! Josh and I are finally closing on a house!!!! Two years and four offers later, we finally found theee one! I cannot explain how happy I am. Next month is both of our birthdays (we're a week apart!) so this is the best gift ever. I'm already thinking of having a huge joint birthday party! Who knows if we'll even have it ready by then... probably not. hahaa..

Honestly, I can't believe it. We've been so close before that it's not going to feel really real until we have the keys. Until then you can find me on  Pinterest searching for more home inspiration! : )
