Sweater x Skirt x Booties x Bag

One look. All of my favorites right now. I have been loving the sweater & skirt combo. Especially a slightly oversize sweater and frilly skirt. It's prefect for this time of year. Throw in my obsession with cut-out booties and a perfect Michael Kors tote, you've got a pretty bad ass look. (IMO)

Of course, I' m still obsessed with cut out booties. (As seen here and here.) I finally bought a pair online, but when I received them they didn't fit. Biggest heart break! So I sold them to my sister. I didn't want to wait another week or two for a new pair. I'm about instant gratification. I need them now. lol

Hey guys!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. You know what's better than a 3 day weekend?! A 3 day work week-- I leave for Miami Friday morning! woohooo!! A crop and maxi skirt is one of my favorite outfits ever. It's easy, super comfortable, and still stylish.

I don't know if he wants everyone to know this, but i don't care lol.. Today Josh celebrates two years of sobriety and I am SOOO happy for him! He's come a long way and I'm so proud of him. Just wanted to share that! ; )

These are a few things I'm loving right now all wrapped up in one outfit. Full minis--obsessed! Crop tops..yes please! This Michael Kors bag might be my first grown up purse.. I LOVE it I need it in my life! Black & white, stripes, polka dots.. yes yes and yess any day!

New Favorite Skirt-- eShakti

The awesome people over at eShakti contacted me for a product review and I jumped at the chance. eShakti is a really cool online store that allows you to customize your clothing so they fit you perfectly. And we all know fit is extremely important with your clothes. 

You can change the hemline, sleeves, neckline, add embellishments. Lots of cool things! All for only $7.50--  free for your first time-- working at a dry cleaners and with the tailor daily, I know alterations are expensive... a hem alone is $20! So having the option of eShakti doing it all for you is amazing. And they have a wide range of sizing options from 0-36W.. how awesome is that?!

It was hard to pick one thing because they have so many cute dresses and skirts. I finally chose this black and cream stripe skirt and it fits perfectly. I requested the hem line above the knee, but I'm so short that it's more like at my knee. I'm totally okay with that, because I don't have any skirts like this. And I have had this picture on my inspiration board for about a year, so this was finally my chance to recreate it. I really do love my new skirt, I cannot wait to style it up a bunch of different ways this Spring and Summer!

I finally have camo jeans! I've wanted a pair for so long, but couldn't find a pair I really liked for the price I wanted to spend. While looking through the little boys section of the thrift store I found these Levi's! I almost couldn't believe it lol 

I also bought some more dresses and skirts for my store, so I should be updating it this weekend!

Two tone

Forever 21 jacket (not online anymore but they have lots of other cute options) & top/ Charlotte Russe jeans & booties/ Karen Millen denim jacket (thrifted) 

Can I just start by saying I looveee this jacket!! I recently bought it from Forever 21 and have been wearing it basically everyday since I received it in the mail. I've wanted a new leather jacket for a long time now and this one had everything I wanted it one and the price was right on. I know I'll be wearing it for Spring with pretty dresses for a badass mixed with sweet girly look... Ooohh I can't wait!! lol 

I bought this shirt the same day as the jacket, obviously I'm really into two toned clothing so this shirt was a no brainer. The lace on the back is an added touch of awesome-ness.

(Faux) Leather

Gap t-shirt (Josh's)/ H&M faux leather leggings/ Charlotte Russe booties/ Target sunnies

I'm sure you've seen leather on everything and everyone for the past few months. Leather pants, shorts, skirts, sleeves, pockets, you get it--everywhere. I'm falling right into it cause I'm in love, especially the baggy leather pant-- pretty badass! I don't have them yet, but I do wear these skinny faux leather leggings a lot.

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago to celebrate my best-friends birthday with dinner and drinks. I really like the laid back vibe the t-shirt gives the leather leggings so I put it back on yesterday to get some pictures for the blog.

This is my first time mixing prints, can you believe it?! I just could never find the right combo. But while playing dress up the other night..you do that too right?! these two pieces literally just fell next to each other and I thought, Oh that looks good and called it a day. 

What do you think..hit or miss?!

Hey guys! These pants really don't photograph well, but they are really minty! I love this outfit in person but it's just not showing how I'd like. The blazer is more of a blush pink and the jeans are more green. It might just be my camera, maybe it's time to upgrade...What camera do you use?

While I usually love H&M and their prices. I'm not sure I'll be buying H&M jeans anymore. They're the type to get saggy right after you sit down. No bueno.

I don't usually wear hats, but it's been a pretty big trend and since I didn't feel like re-doing my hair I thought hey why not?! So I grabbed one of Josh's many hats and headed out. Plus I saw two of my favorite bloggers Megan and Jessie try it-- so that was an added push of confidence to give it a shot. I know baseball hats in particular have been on trend, but honestly don't even know what team or sport this hat is. I just like it cause it's all black. Hey, at least I'm honest! lol

I think it made this normally blah outfit a little more fun. I didn't like how I looked with the hat on straight so I just tilted it to the side, and viola much better.

What do you think? Have or would you try this trend? 

PS. The title is from Beyonce's song Countdown. I always thought she said me and my boo boo riding! LOL

I don't have anything neon (besides my cap toe shoes), so when Josh brought this shirt a few weeks ago, I said thanks I'm definitely going to wear that! Today was the perfect day, since nothing of mine seemed to feel right. Speaking of Josh, I finally get to have him back for good tomorrow! He's taking his final then coming home. 

It's been tough trying to find time to post lately. My days have basically been-- wake up, go to work, go to class, then back to work. And studying in between. My semester is over in 3 weeks then I'm freeee, for a little while

I put this outfit on last night to go out for dinner and drinks but ended up coming back home to change before going to the restaurant. I like this outfit but, I felt like it was a little to fancy for chicken quesadillas and margaritas. I love this skirt though, I can't wait to wear it without the stockings and a cute pair of heels during the summer.

Sparkly Stripes & Plaid

This is my first time mixing prints. Yes it is subtle, but I am wearing stripes and plaid so it counts..right?! The stripes are more noticeable in person. I've had a few failed attempts with mixing prints. Whenever I tried to do it, I looked like a hot mess, like I just threw random pieces together. Then everything ended up thrown all over my closet.

This outfit came together after I saw this outfit on Kelly. Thanks for the inspiration Kelly! : ) 

I was originally planning on wearing the plaid shirt with the sweater from yesterdays post. Not wanting to wear the same sweater again. I looked to see what other sweaters I had and found this grey one. I didn't realize I was mixing prints til I actually put everything on. Isn't it funny how that happens?! When you try too hard with something it doesn't work out. Then when you're not even thinking about it, it comes together perfectly! Sometimes you just need to step away.

Two In One

Curled my hair using this tutorial 

So when I woke up this morning, I thought I was going to have a full day of classes. But after getting ready I found out my professor was sick so she wasn't going to be in today. I have her for both of my morning classes so now I have a free morning! That never happens. I quickly got out of my scrubs and put on this outfit. 

After reading about Kayla's winter 10 day challenge, I knew I wanted to link up with this outfit, today is embrace a trend. I love the backwards trend. I first saw it on Krystal from This Time Tomorrow. I thought wow this looks so freakin cool! I new I had to try it soon. This grey sweater was the perfect one to try it with, because the front has a deep V so I automatically new it would work. I also have the elbow patches that I sewed onto sweater. Another trendy thing going on now, and I love the placement of them in the front!

Some Spring trends I am obsessing over are floral prints, bright colors, sheer skirts, maxi dresses and wide leg pants. I'm not so sure I can pull off wide leg pants since I'm only 5'1. I might look extra tiny, but I'm thinking with high heels and a fitted top it might look good. I can't wait til it finally warms up so I can wear pretty floral dresses!
