I wore this on Labor Day (Monday). One of the rare days both Josh and I had the day off from work. We slept in, lounged around, then went out for some Mexican dinner. Which was spicy as all hell, and I'm not a fan of spicy food. lol

The second best thing about 3 day weekends.. short work weeks. It's already Thursday! Happy almost weekend! : )

Polka dot Midi

DIY Crop/ Vintage midi shorts: For sale in my shop/ Charlotte Russe booties

These midi shorts are one of my favorites in my shop right now. I bought them because I loved the length, the polka dots, and it has pockets! I actually thought it was a skirt at first-- it wasn't until I went to get them cleaned when I noticed they were shorts. That made me love them even more, cause then I can do silly things like the picture above..lol

P.S. Since we're moving in less than 2 weeks, I put everything in the shop on sale! Shop here : )

High split + Leather Jacket

Thrift dress/ Forever21 Jacket, Sunglasses & Sandals 

I've seen a few outfits on Pinterest of long flowy dresses paired with leather jackets and I just love the look. I don't have any fancy long dresses or anywhere to wear it to, so this is my way of recreating that look. I've been wanting a dress or skirt with a high split but couldn't find any that I liked, so the other night I took a pair of scissors to this dress. I'm kinda loving it.

Obey

Lately I've been rocking my natural curls a lot more, which I haven't done too much since I was a teenager. But I'm starting to like it again-- it beats standing in the bathroom for a half hour with the blow dryer. Whenever I leave my hair to air dry it gets ridiculously big and curly. On the days when I don't feel like straightening it- I just put in some Argan Oil, grab one of Josh's hats and go. What's your go-to hair style on lazy days?

Hey guys!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. You know what's better than a 3 day weekend?! A 3 day work week-- I leave for Miami Friday morning! woohooo!! Make sure to follow me on instagram for what I'm sure is going to be a fun, funny, awesome weekend. (Melodyr_12) I took these photos yesterday while me and Josh were in Coney Island. A crop and maxi skirt is one of my favorite outfits ever. It's easy, super comfortable, and still stylish.

I don't know if he wants everyone to know this, but i don't care lol.. Today Josh celebrates two years of sobriety and I am SOOO happy for him! He's come a long way and I'm so proud of him. Just wanted to share that! ; )

I've been wanting a faux fur collar or vest for a long time now-- I just didn't want to pay a lot for one. A few weeks ago I found this one at the thrift store and I wasn't so sure at first, but layered over this Gap coat I'm kinda loving it. I'll def. be wearing it a lot more!

This is the outfit I was thinking of when I put together this polyvore set. I really like how it turned out, I couldn't get better photos, because we were in a rush and it was freezing outside! (I have a few others on instagram here)

So how was everyone's Christmas?! Did you get what you wished for?! I didn't get what was on my wishlist, BUT I did get something better. A new SLR camera (Canon Rebel T3i) and a tripod! I mentioned to Josh that I want a better camera a while ago and he remembered. I wasn't expecting it so I was SO surprised! These were taken with the old camera I've been playing around with it all day, I really like the blurred background photos.. I just haven't figured out how to take them yet! lol If you have any tips I would love to know.

This was one of my favorite outfits last week. It's really simple, but I like that the knit sleeves look like they belong to the vest. (It's the little things..lol) The sleeves are actually attached to the denim jacket. A recently thrift find that I have been dying to wear! I'm sure I'll combine these two again, maybe next time with a dress & boots..?

Thrifted vintage blouse/dress- Forever21 booties- Bag: swapped with my sister- Fossil watch

So this is basically the same outfit as yesterday. Is that horrible?! lol Instead of the denim shirt-- I layered with this vintage blouse/dress. I think this used to be some little old lady's blouse, but I just added a belt and snaps to keep the top closed, now it's my vintage dress!

I wore this last weekend when Josh and I spent the day in the city. We had brunch at a cute little French restaurant, then walked around the West Village and had cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery. (SO good!) Before we came back home we stopped by my girl Carrie's house. LOL I felt like such a tourist taking a picture in front of the house, but I didn't care it was my first time seeing it in person. Since this is basically the last weekend of the summer, I'm really hoping we can have another one like this!

This denim shirts is another one of my favorite tops. You can seriously pair it with any and everything! I think I need to get another asap, because this one is starting to rip on the elbow part. (That's how much I wear it! lol) A dark denim like this one is what I'm after for the fall.
