Three ways to wear: Fringe

Untitled #82
shoes from Dolce Vita | skirt from H&M | purse from Overstock

Hey hey hey!! I'm bacckk..  If you follow me on Instagram, you know what I've been up to since my last post. If you don't, you should! : )

Let's jump right in. When I saw Oliva Palermo wearing this suede fringe skirt I fell in love! I immediately thought, I need it. But my quick second thought was, where in the world am I going to wear a suede fringe midi skirt?! It doesn't really fit into my everyday life as an sonogram technician.

So naturally I started thinking of ways to wear the fringe trend that works for everyday work/errands. I hit Polyvore and came up with three different looks that I would totally wear in a second. Boots and a bag are the easiest ways to mix in trendy item. I picked the fringe skirt, because it's a fun option for a night out, and it's a jersey material so you can dress it up or down.

What do you think?! Are you loving fringe? What are some of the items you've been loving this season?

Polka dot Midi

DIY Crop/ Vintage midi shorts: For sale in my shop/ Charlotte Russe booties

These midi shorts are one of my favorites in my shop right now. I bought them because I loved the length, the polka dots, and it has pockets! I actually thought it was a skirt at first-- it wasn't until I went to get them cleaned when I noticed they were shorts. That made me love them even more, cause then I can do silly things like the picture above..lol

P.S. Since we're moving in less than 2 weeks, I put everything in the shop on sale! Shop here : )

Obey

Silk tank, Madewell jeans (cut into shorts), Ann Taylor Blazer all thrifted/ Obey hat (I'm getting Josh this one so we can share it! )

Lately I've been rocking my natural curls a lot more, which I haven't done too much since I was a teenager. But I'm starting to like it again-- it beats standing in the bathroom for a half hour with the blow dryer. Whenever I leave my hair to air dry it gets ridiculously big and curly. On the days when I don't feel like straightening it- I just put in some Argan Oil, grab one of Josh's hats and go. What's your go-to hair style on lazy days?

Loving

Untitled #61

Who would of thought denim overalls aka a jumper would be back in style?! I certainly didn't.. I have been seeing them around for a long time and I first I thought no effin' way am I wearing one of those again! But after seeing some other stylish women style them up, I'm rethinking it. My plan is to start searching thrift store, mainly the kids section so I can find a fitted one.

I used to have tons of graphic tee's, then I went through a phase where I thought these are so childish I must get rid of them all. Such a fool I was! Now I'm just going to hoard everything. hahaa..

I'm still not sure how round sunglasses will look on me, but I'm really loving them. Thinking of buying these.

How do you feel about this 90s trend coming back?!.

New Favorite Skirt-- eShakti

who doesn't love a twirly skirt?! lol

Thrift denim jacket/ Forever21 bandeau/ eShakti skirt c/o

The awesome people over at eShakti contacted me for a product review and I jumped at the chance. eShakti is a really cool online store that allows you to customize your clothing so they fit you perfectly. And we all know fit is extremely important with your clothes.

You can change the hemline, sleeves, neckline, add embellishments. Lots of cool things! All for only $7.50--  free for your first time-- working at a dry cleaners and with the tailor daily, I know alterations are expensive... a hem alone is $20! So having the option of eShakti doing it all for you is amazing. And they have a wide range of sizing options from 0-36W.. how awesome is that?!

It was hard to pick one thing because they have so many cute dresses and skirts. I finally chose this black and cream stripe skirt and it fits perfectly. I requested the hem line above the knee, but I'm so short that it's more like at my knee. I'm totally okay with that, because I don't have any skirts like this. And I have had this picture on my inspiration board for about a year, so this was finally my chance to recreate it. I really do love my new skirt, I cannot wait to style it up a bunch of different ways this Spring and Summer!

All Thrift

Karen Millen jacket, black tank, & Levi's camo jeans all thrifted / Charlotte Russe booties

I finally have camo jeans! I've wanted a pair for so long, but couldn't find a pair I really liked for the price I wanted to spend. While looking through the little boys section of the thrift store I found these Levi's! I almost couldn't believe it lol

I also bought some more dresses and skirts for my store, so I should be updating it this weekend!

Planning & Packing

Untitled #58

Ever since Josh and I decided we were going Marrakesh I've been researching everything, one of the first things I read was it's an Islamic country and the woman dresses very modestly. Of course I want to be respectful of their culture and don't want to offend anyone or have people staring at me all day.

So I'm thinking loose and light weight maxi dresses and pants, a denim jacket for night-time, booties, converse, and a crossbody bag. In my head I'm picturing hippie-chic, kinda like a Free People catalog. Hopefully I look hippie-chic and not like a homeless person lol
