So my resolution this year is just to become healthy. (So original right?! lol) I don't feel like I need to loose weight I just need to tone up and start eating better. I'm always tired and I think it's because of my crappy diet and lack of exercise. I love eating pizza, pasta, cookies, cupcakes everything unhealthy basically. So to avoid that Josh and I went food shopping and bought all healthy food. I'm big on snacks so usually I'll eat healthy all day then come home and eat 2 cupcakes, cookies and hand full off mini Reese cups. So instead of having all that bad stuff in the house, this time all we bought were fruits, veggies, hummus (I've never had it, but I saw on Pinterest carrots+hummus is a good snack lol) salad, yogurt etc.
I also really need to get serious about working out. I always say yea yea I'm going to start jogging or I'll sign up to a gym, go for a week then stop. Since I'm cheap I'm going to start working out at the gym in my sisters building or at home. Hopefully since I'm putting it all out there, I'll stick to it this time. Feel free to motivate me via twitter! : )

Did you make any resolutions this year?
Do you have any healthy dinner or desert recipes that you love?!
This was me last year, so I can offer a couple words of advice....
ReplyDeleteDon't make excuses for yourself. I would always say "well i dont want to have to wash my hair again". I wash it every second day, so I make sure to go to the gym before I wash it at night. If I shower without gymming, I see it as a waste.
I stocked up on fruits to try and get me to stop eating all the refined sugar goodies I am in love with. If I want candy, I get a grapefruit and eat that. It's not perfect but it works. Also when I cut out junk food for a week, this saved me :)
Anyways, good luck :D When you don't have the junk in your house, you're less likely to eat it. Good first step!
Hey Melody! Happy New Year! I didnt make resolutions. I usually do not. Although, I have a 30 before 30 list and that inspires me to continue to work on them on a monthly basis to check things off my list. Every year, my main thing is really to just be a better person and treat people kindly.. Have a good day!

I'm not much of a strong resolution maker myself but I too want to improve my health (eating habits and exercise!) and hopefully ensure I stay on it. It's tough for me but something I think I need! =)

oh my gosh, i'm going through the SAME THING. these passed three months i was just inhaling anything in site, and now i'm definitely seeing those consequences. and it's so hard to put those cupcakes down! i always like reading other people's diet posts to keep motivating me to stay on course. and you're going to loveee hummus, i can eat that all day!
ReplyDeleteThat was me about two years ago, and now 30lbs later I feel great! Don't get me wrong I still have a cheeky bite of pizza and all things sweet and cavity giving, but I feel good about where I am (not just physically). You've got this mama!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way about resolutions, that's why I never make them.. because when it comes down to it, I'm just really lazy. Ha. You can do it though, everything in moderation! :)
